Limassol port acts as the major port of Cyprus for ingoing and outgoing cargo. It is situated on the western part of Limassol town and can accommodate cargo, car, cruise and passenger vessels.
Larnaca port is situated on the south east of the island and offers a very large stowing area.

All port facilities on the island are under the jurisdiction of the Cyprus Ports Authority and their activities and development are centrally planned, coordinated and supervised.

In addition to handling the country’s seabourne trade and passenger traffic exclusively, Cyprus ports became important as cargo transhipment hub ports for Europe and the Far East trade. Cyprus can easily access the coasts of the Levant, North Adriatic and Black sea with inter-regional maritime traffic. The ports have extensive experience in the transhipment of cars and other general cargo.

For passengers:
Limassol port is more often used as a base and stop over for a large number of cruise ships conducting cruises in the region on a regular and frequent basis. Limassol is a gateway to a wealth of Ancient Greek & Roman archaeological treasures on the island, Crusader monuments as well as mountains and traditional villages.
The port of Larnaca is located near the airport as well as the capital city of Nicosia and therefore is well placed as a turnaround port.
