Mantovani was set up as a Ship Agency in 1856. In the 1930s Adriatica Line and transatlantic liners chartered for cruise purposes by American Express, included Cyprus in their itineraries. We expanded into organizing Shore Excursions for their passengers.

The island of Cyprus is located in the middle of the major sea-lanes linking Israel, Egypt and Lebanon with the West Med as well as Crete/Rhodes with southern Turkey. This makes the island a convenient and interesting port of call for cruise lines that operate East Med itineraries.
